The Hornsby Art Prize is an annual art award and exhibition sponsored by Hornsby Shire Council and delivered in partnership with the Hornsby Art Society. Entries are now open and close Friday 02 October 2015. Categories include Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Three Dimensional works.

Entries are now open for the sixth annual GreenWay Art Prize which is bigger and better than ever in 2015 with a new prize for sculpture on offer and a record prize pool of $8,000.

Contemporary Art Awards is an annual online art award, based in the district of Brisbane. The aim of this award is to support Australian emerging artists in their early careers. 
3 December 2015 2016 Adelaide Park Lands Art
There has never been a major art prize with Adelaide as its focus. There has never been a major art prize which focuses on the Adelaide Park Lands. The Adelaide Park Lands Art Prize remedies this. The prize is open to all artists, of all ages, from all countries, working in two and three-dimensional art forms, including photography. The prize is an initiative of the Adelaide Park Lands Preservation Association Inc. (APPA). APPA intends the prize to be a key part of its program to stimulate public awareness of and promote interest in the Adelaide Park Lands. Prizes total $30,000, overall winner is $20,000 with 10 commended prizes of $1,000 each and the Royal Show People’s Choice Prize of $1000. The finalists will be exhibited at the Adelaide Festival Centre Art Space Gallery from April to May 2016 and all works will be for sale. This is a great opportunity for artists to gain exposure for their work and experience in the exhibition process.
15 January 2016 Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing 2016
Named in honour of respected painter, printmaker and draughtswoman, Miss Adelaide Elizabeth Perry who taught Art at PLC Sydney from 1930 to 1962, the Prize attracts submissions from around the country.
15 January 2016 Alice Prize 2016
Contemporary Australian Art Award $25,000 (acquisitive). A biennial event. Exhibition dates 16 April to 13 June 2016 at Araluen Arts Centre, Alice Springs.
22 January 2016 Cambridge Studio Gallery’s Portrait Prize
CSGallery believes in supporting emergent artists and established this prize as a means to address the limited opportunities for them to show their works.
2 May 2016 The 2016 Mandorla Art Award
The Mandorla Art Award for contemporary religious art is Australia's most significant thematic Christian art prize. This national award is open to artists working in all media and artists are invited to submit an application for inclusion in the 2016 Mandorla Art Award to be held 15-24 July 2016 at the Linton and Kay Galleries Perth. The Mandorla Art Award offers an acquisitive first prize of $25,000 and two non-acquisitive highly commended awards of $5,000 each, plus a $2,000 popular choice award.
