July 31 2015 Victorian Veteran Community Story Writing & Art Competition
Each year the Competition provides members of this community with an excellent opportunity to develop and apply their creative skills and have their stories and other artistic endeavours publicly acknowledged. All our judges are volunteers to this not for profit competition. Entry into the competition is free. Prizes are given across all categories along with novice awards in the writing and visual art categories.Visual art categories include art (categories include novice, experienced and advanced), craft and photography (War/Armed Services; Open & Portrait).
July 31 2015 BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER
The BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER is a stepping-stone for emerging artists. Sponsored by the family-owned brewery Warsteiner, the competition was created to offer young creatives a chance to get their start in the international art market.
The awards call addresses outstandig creatives whose works blur the lines between arts, design, fashion, urban art, advertising, video and architecture.
The prizes:
1st place: Exhibition at BLOOOM – the converging art show, one-year mentoring support, a trip to Art Basel Miami Beach, creative premium of €1,500
2nd place: Exhibition at BLOOOM – the converging art show, single exhibition in a selected gallery, trip to Art Paris with companion
3rd place: Exhibition at BLOOOM – the converging art show, one-day mentoring support through jury member Walter Gehlen
The jury:
Since its very beginning, the jury of BLOOOM Award by WARSTEINER consists of Catharina Cramer, patron and managing partner of the Warsteiner Group, Yasha Young, curator and freelance art journalist and Walter Gehlen, director and artistic director of ART.FAIR and BLOOOM. Each year, two extraordinary experts from the art scene complete the jury.
August 1 2015 The M Collection
The M Collection is a Melbourne based Art Collective, and we are running our second annual award for unrepresented artists based in Victoria.  Entries close 1 August, with the shortlist notified by 10 September.  Judging will take place at Gallerysmith, 170 - 174 Abbotsford Street, North Melbourne, 24 September, exhibition 24 Sept - 4 October Judges : Kirsty Grant, CEO and Director of Heide Museum of Modern Art, Marita Smith of Gallerysmith, and an M Collection member, to be announced.  Entries can be in any medium, 1 metre x 1 metre or equivalent, or sculptures 1 metre high. 
August 14 2015 Clayton Utz Award
Clayton Utz is proud to support the Arts through the Clayton Utz Art Award. The Award offers a $10,000 winner's prize and exhibition space for the finalists and is awarded to Queensland-based artists or artists with a strong connection to Queensland.
August 17 2015 LINDEN POSTCARD SHOW 2015
Over $10,000 of prizes to win . All works must be 8 x 10 INCHES and able to be hung on a wall
August 21 2015 Little Things 
Little Things art competition aims to encourage local artists to notice and bring attention to the small things that make them happy or things they are grateful for and express it creatively. The science of Positive Psychology emphasizes the benefits such focusing of our attention contributes to our health and happiness. As well as inspiring community creative engagement, the resulting exhibition will be a celebration of the artwork displayed and a shared positive experience.
15 September 2015 Grace Cossington Smith art award 2015
Entries are now open to Australian residents for a national acquisitive contemporary art prize. The $15,000 Grace Cossington Smith art award winner and finalists’ artworks will be displayed at the Grace Cossington Smith Gallery at Abbotsleigh, Wahroonga from 7 November 2015.
Finalists will each be awarded $1,000 and will be selected by a committee nominated by the Director of the gallery. The award is sponsored by Abbotsleigh and commemorates one of its alumni, Grace Cossington Smith, who is known as a pioneer of modernist painting in Australia.
Artists are invited to submit original two dimensional artworks that reflect the theme of Making Connections. The cost of entry is $50 for up to three submitted artworks. The winning entry will form part of the permanent collection of Abbotsleigh’s Grace Cossington Smith Gallery.
15 September 2015 ARTfest Digital We are running two digital competitions in 2015, Digital Stills and One Minute Movie. Digital Stills participants are asked to design spectacular digital artworks for exhibit on the ARTfest-Digital website (some works will be selected for a physical exhibition at some ARTfest shows). Every discipline, genre, style, and school of thought within digital art and photography is welcome. Our One Minute Movie competition is open to all filmmakers and digital story tellers to produce an original and imaginative film. All entries will need to embody the 2015 Escape Artfest theme “CLASH”. There is a $1000 prize pool for our 2015 competition.
16 September 2015 Corangamite Arts Inc. Rockabilly Poster Prize 2015
2015 is the inaugural Rockabilly Poster Prize held by Corangamite Arts Inc. and hosted at Camperdown's Historic Court House.  The exhibition is a celebration of all things "Rockabilly" and will run alongside the Camperdown Cruise Festival in October each year.
25 September 2015 Arts Wodonga Hume Bank Acquisitive Contemporary
Art Award 2015

Now in its 12th year, the Hume Bank will continue in its support of regional art in sponsoring the Arts Wodonga Hume Bank Acquisitive Contemporary Art Award in 2015 to the value of $5000. This Art Award is open to regional contemporary artists living and practising within 120kms of Albury Wodonga. Judged by Amanda Gibson, Regional Arts Victoria
30 September 2015 The Kennedy Prize

Entries have opened for the second $25,000 Kennedy Prize   a new Adelaide-based national art award that is one of the richest in Australian art circles.

Offered by the Kennedy Arts Foundation, entries are open to all Australian artists across all forms of visual media but must be works that embody, comment on or celebrate  beauty .

Emerging artists especially are encouraged to apply with the Prize s varied award structure designed to showcase previously un-exhibited artists alongside established Australian luminaries.

Categories include painting, mixed media, multi-media, video, installation, 3D, pencil, photography, sculpture and other.

The winning artist will receive the Kennedy Prize of $25,000, and their artwork will be acquired by the Kennedy Arts Foundation and auctioned at next year s Kennedy Prize exhibition.

2 May 2016 The 2016 Mandorla Art Award
The Mandorla Art Award for contemporary religious art is Australia's most significant thematic Christian art prize. This national award is open to artists working in all media and artists are invited to submit an application for inclusion in the 2016 Mandorla Art Award to be held 15-24 July 2016 at the Linton and Kay Galleries Perth. The Mandorla Art Award offers an acquisitive first prize of $25,000 and two non-acquisitive highly commended awards of $5,000 each, plus a $2,000 popular choice award.
