3 Oct 2014 Hornsby Art Prize
Entries are now open for the 2014 Hornsby Art Prize. The Hornsby Art Prize is an annual art award and exhibition sponsored by Hornsby Shire Council and delivered in partnership with the Hornsby Art Society. Entries close Friday 03 October 2014. Categories include Painting, Drawing, Printmaking and Sculpture.
The prize pool is worth over $13,000 and the major, acquisitive prize is valued at $6055 which includes $5000.00 cash.
The finalists’ entries will be on display between 20-30 November 2014 at Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre, 25 Edgeworth David Ave, Hornsby.

6/10/2014 The A.M.E. Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize 2014
The A.M.E. Bale Travelling Scholarship and Art Prize are awarded to Australian artists who have demonstrated talent and achievement in traditional styles. The Art Prize is intended to encourage, support and advance classical training of emerging artists (in their early to mid-career) at any stage of life, who are pursuing the study and practice of traditional art and who desire to study the works of old masters.
There are three categories for the Art Prize. 1. Major Award for a travelling scholarship $50,000 2. AME Bale Art Prize in the medium of oils and/or acrylics $5,000 3. AME Bale Art Prize for works on paper $5,000

Sculpture at Hillview is a regional Sculpture festival that opens in November. We are calling for sculptors and ALL artists to submit a proposal for the show. We encourage artists who may not consider themselves sculptors but would like to extend and explore, play and produce something as a development to their existing practice.

Entered by hundreds of artists each year, Blacktown's annual art prize showcases the best of current artistic practice. Now in its 19th year, the Blacktown City Art Prize has grown in popularity and reputation to become Western Sydney's premier art prize.  It features outstanding works by local artists, as well as works from across NSW and environmentally themed works by children and young artists. Painting, watercolour, works on paper and sculpture sections are judged by industry professionals with prize monies and acquisitive funds totalling $24,000.

Prizes to the value of $25,000. Artists are invited to submit entries now for the exhibition in 2015 which will be held in March over 16 days at the iconic Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability in Waverton. This unique site enables broad participation and accommodates the inclusion of works on paper, photography, sculpture, installation and site specific works.

The Belle Arti Prize is a national $5000 acquisitive prize. Over 250 entries from across Australia were received for the 2013 Belle Arti Chapman Bailey Art Prize. The result was a floor to ceiling contemporary salon hang, and a veritable world of multiple artistic visions.This year we hope for just as big a snap shot of the richness and diversity of arts practice in Australia. All entrants will be given an identical 35 x 35cm canvas, a limited time frame, and total creative carte blanche. Previous winners of the Belle Arti Chapman Bailey Prize are Jackie Stockdale 2009, Lewis Miller 2010, Marie Hagerty 2011/2012 and Karen Black 2013.
Belle Arti Prize 2014 will be held Chapman & Bailey Gallery 350 Johnston Street Abbotsford, VIC 3067. It is in it’s 6th year.
